Academy Update - 2/19



We are coming upon the big push in our schedule where all of our games are compacted into 4 months of time.  Phase 1 encompasses the month of March and consists of 1 home weekend and 3 road trips in a row.  Phase 2 is our after-Easter homestand of 5 straight home weekends.  Phase 3 is once again filled with road trips – 3 weekends straight then on to the playoffs in late June in Dallas.  This email focuses on Phase 1.
 
Practice:
Indoor practice will continue over the next two weeks culminating with our home games vs Solar and Andromeda on March 3-4.  Outdoor sessions at Pinnacle begin the week after those games.  If the weather continues to be this mild expect an earlier outdoor practice to be scheduled.
 
Indoor
Thursday, 2/23:  CSU, 6:00 – 7:30pm
Friday, 2/24:  Multiplex, 5:00 – 7:00pm
Monday, 2/27:  CSU, 6:00 – 7:30pm 
Outdoor (begins March 6)
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:  Pinnacle, 6:00 – 7:30pm
 
 
Home, March 3-4 (White Saturday, Blue Sunday, bring both to each):
Only eighteen players will be chosen for the roster for all home games but ALL players will be expected to attend and dress for each game.  We will attempt to take new website pictures on Saturday if Mrs. Machi is available.  You should arrive 1.5 hours prior to game time, same as on the road.
 
Dallas, March 16-18 (Blue Saturday, White Sunday, bring both to each):
The blog is currently updated with the proper room and transportation assignments as well as hotel, venue, and game info.  Please review them as things might have changed since the last time you checked.  I will send out an email this week detailing email addresses and phone numbers for all participants involved.  Note that the first name listed for each hotel room is coordinating the registration and payment for that room.  The other individuals assigned are expected to reimburse them for their share.
 
Indianapolis, March 23-24
Chicago #1, March 31 – April 1 (Blue Saturday, White Sunday, bring both to each):
1)  These will be our first bus trips of the year.  Itineraries for both trips are posted on the blog now under “Trip Itineraries”.  Rosters will be determined and player room assignments (3 per room) announced two weeks prior to each trip. 
 
2)  Costs for each trip are posted.  Checks should be made out to Internationals and turned in no later that one week prior to departure.  I have attached a take-out menu for Panera Bread.  All rostered players will need to send me their order one-week prior as well.  Please stick to the menu I have provided…………
 
3)  Parents are encouraged to travel with the team on the bus, eat with the team, and stay at the same hotel (with your own private room).  If you are interested please email me after roster announcements.
 
4)  Volunteers are needed to help with logistics, really only in procuring the meals that are not automatically delivered to the bus.  If you are driving separately over either of the weekends please let me know if you are available to help in this regard.
